Nexus Engineering Report: Overdrive Online

Version: v1.21

The Galactic Nexus engineering teams have deployed v1.21. Faster builds, a livelier bridge, and a few frontier surprises:

  • Overdrive Modules - Spend Nexus Credits on Overdrive modules (10 minutes, 1 hour, 8 hours or 24 hours) to skip time on any running construction or ship production. Buy them in the Perks store, then use one from any running timer. Every commander receives a free 10-minute module for building their first Corvette. The 25% Build Speed boost now speeds up ship production too.
  • The Sound of the Bridge - Builds finishing, incoming comms, launches and victories now have their own sound effects, with a volume slider in the HUD. Prefer atmosphere? Switch on the optional ship ambience for a quiet hum that changes with each part of your station. It is off by default.
  • Smoother First Hours - Pelastration Chambers now arrive earlier in your orientation, and the Orbital Shipyard needs a lighter set of prerequisites, so the first Corvette comes sooner. The scouting objective completes as soon as your recon report arrives, the objective tracker no longer overlaps its own text, and scouting or raiding an NPC outpost never needs a verified email.
  • Abandoned Outposts - When a commander deletes their account, a well-developed station no longer simply vanishes. It may live on as an anonymous NPC outpost of one of the frontier factions, stripped of its old stockpiles and armed no more strongly than its neighbours can handle. Smaller bases return to empty space.
  • Clearer Rules & Privacy - Our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy have been updated with our conduct rules, how blocking and reporting work, and how your data is handled. Account deletion, available in the mobile app, now fully erases your personal details.
  • Toward Mobile - The Galactic Thrones mobile app is in testing, using the same commander account and the same galaxy as the website.

See you on the frontier, Commander.

Nexus Engineering Report: Industry Online

Version: v1.20

The Galactic Nexus engineering teams have deployed v1.20, rebuilt around what new commanders told us about their first hours on the frontier:

  • Industry Online - Every Pelastration Chamber, Solar Radiation Array, Ecosystem BioSphere and Platinum Processing Plant now pours out its resource, growing with every level, and your Throne Ship's base output grows as you upgrade it. Open any structure to see its output now and at the next level. Damaged structures produce less until repaired, so keep your crews busy.
  • Faster Shipyards - Construction now completes the moment its timer runs out, even when you are away from the Throne Room.
  • Battle Forecast - Fleet Dispatch now predicts the outcome of an attack from your latest recon of the target, before you commit a single ship. Scout first, then strike.
  • Clearer After-Action Reports - Every combat report now opens with the result (Victory, Repelled or Defeat) and the attack and defense strengths the battle was decided on, from your side of the fight.
  • Scavengers at the Gates - A crew of Hollow Crowns scavengers now sets up camp near every new commander. They are poorly defended and carrying supplies: the perfect first raid. The onboarding checklist walks you through it.
  • Faster Starts - New stations now receive a Nexus supply cache, and every Throne Ship produces twice as much Platinum as before, so the first upgrades come without the wait.
  • Replay the Bridge Tour - Missed the orientation tour? Replay it any time from the Command Hub.

See you on the frontier, Commander.

Nexus Engineering Report: Frontier Factions Sighted

Version: v1.19

Long-range scanners have picked up new signals across the frontier. The Galactic Nexus engineering teams have deployed v1.19:

  • Frontier Factions Sighted - Three NPC factions now hold outposts across the galaxy: the raiding Hollow Crowns, the fortified Ashen Republic, and the enigmatic Pelastrine Mind. Their outposts are marked [NPC] on the Galaxy Map and leaderboard, and make ideal first targets for commanders learning to raid. Hollow Crowns hideouts can even be conquered. Read their story in the Commander's Logs.
  • Welcome Transmissions - New commanders now receive a welcome transmission confirming their sub-space frequency, unlocking Nexus Credit purchases and account recovery straight away.
  • Hardened Command Security - Changing your email, phone number or password now requires your current password, email confirmation links ask for a final click before activating, and login sessions have been reinforced against hijacking.
  • Cleaner Rankings - Internal test commanders have been removed from the leaderboard, so every name you see is either a real commander or a clearly marked faction.
  • Signal Lost - Mistyped coordinates now lead to a proper in-universe page instead of a dead end.
  • Faster Arrival - The landing page loads significantly faster thanks to optimised imagery, and the orientation sequence now loads only when it is needed.
  • Companion App Fixes - Perk purchases, auto-renew toggles and orientation completion now work reliably from the companion app.
  • Transmission Filters - Improved protection against automated spam on registration and the contact form.

Pick your fights, Commander. End of transmission.

Nexus Engineering Report: New Commander Orientation & Registration Polish

Version: v1.18

The Galactic Nexus engineering teams have deployed v1.18 featuring refinements to the new commander experience:

  • Orientation Sequence Accuracy - Corrected a targeting error in the guided orientation sequence so every callout now highlights the correct control on your first visit to the Throne Room.
  • Registration Clarity - Callsign registration now confirms your password meets all security requirements in real time, before submission, so you know immediately if something needs adjusting.

End of transmission.

Nexus Engineering Report: Command Hub UI & Tactical Vector Iconography Overhaul

Version: v1.17

The Galactic Nexus engineering teams have deployed v1.17 featuring a complete visual overhaul of the Command Hub menu system across Web and Mobile viewports:

  • Tactical Vector Iconography - Replaced default OS emojis with crisp, high-resolution sci-fi HUD vector icons across all navigation, account, help, and legal modules.
  • Color & Contrast Standardization - Standardized navigation text to uniform white for optimal legibility while assigning dedicated sci-fi accent colors to individual HUD icons.
  • Sub-space Neon Glow Effects - Upgraded hover and touch interactions with responsive neon halo drop-shadows and subtle micro-scale animations.
  • Cross-Platform Parity - Optimized menu drawer layout and icon alignment across desktop, tablet, and mobile platforms.

End of transmission.
