Frequently Asked Questions
Your guide to navigating the complexities of the Galactic Thrones universe.
Q: Is Galactic Thrones free to play?
Yes! Galactic Thrones is completely free to play. Anyone can register, build a Throne Ship, and compete in the galaxy without spending a dime. While there are premium options to purchase additional Platinum or cosmetic perks, the core gameplay loop of resource generation, base building, and fleet combat is accessible to all players for free.
Q: What happens if I run out of resources?
Resource management is critical. If you run out of Construction Alloys, you cannot build or upgrade structures. If you run out of Food, your crew will starve and you won't be able to manufacture drones. The most important thing to remember is to upgrade your Cargo Hold early and often; if your resource generation exceeds your storage capacity, any excess resources are permanently lost!
Q: How do I attack other players?
To engage in combat, you first need to build an Orbital Shipyard and construct a fleet. Once you have combat-capable ships (like Corvettes or Destroyers), use your Navigation Bridge to view the Galaxy Map. Find a target player's orbital station and dispatch your fleet with an attack order. Keep in mind that attacking players requires massive amounts of Energy and carries the risk of losing your ships if their defenses are too strong.
Q: What is the difference between Drones and Ships?
Drones are manufactured in the Drone Replicator and act as the fast, cheap foot soldiers of your defense. They are primarily used to defend your Throne Ship or to overwhelm enemies in massive swarms. Ships, built in the Orbital Shipyard, are heavy, expensive, and specialized. You need Capital Ships like Dreadnoughts and Frigates for major offensive campaigns and planetary subjugation.
Q: How do I join an Alliance?
Alliances are the key to long-term survival. You can view alliance invitations or browse open factions in your Comms Console. Being part of an alliance allows you to coordinate joint attacks, share resources via the Demilitarised Trade Platform, and defend each other's coordinates from rival coalitions.
Q: Why did my fleet return with no loot?
If your attack on a rival station was successful but your fleet returned empty-handed, it usually means one of two things: either the defending player had no resources stored in their Cargo Hold, or you failed to include Cargo Freighters in your attacking fleet. Warships can destroy defenses, but only Freighters can transport stolen goods back to your Throne Ship.
